Kimberly Yankson

Kimberly Yankson, a senior at Rockville High School, is a returning apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. Her work has been published in the Poetry Ourselves anthology, the Write On, Black Girl magazine, and the Connecticut Student Writers magazine where she earned a platinum award. Moreover, she was a featured reader at Arts Center East’s Black History event. Kimberly finds inspiration through music and her life’s experiences. When she is not writing poetry or fiction, she likes to dance, sing, act, and dabble in songwriting.

From top to bottom, the colors are a light sky blue with a swath of white cutting through the center, a dark, bright pink which bleeds into the blue above, and a golden honey-yellow with warm brown dark values giving the impressions of feathers at the bottom.
