When I Became Human

By Adeena Aijaz | July 30, 2026

an oil painting of a knight on a white horse at sunset. the knight is looking down at a gravestone in a field of stones. there are crows on the stones, and a human skull and a horse skull and spine on the ground. there is an inscription in cyrillic letters on the gravestone. the english translation is "if you go straight, you won't be alive — there is no way for a drive-by or a passer-by or a fly-by"
