2026 Contributors

Adeena Aijaz

Adeena Aijaz is a rising junior at Wethersfield High School and an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. She is a member of the Student Council and DECA, and engages in many civic opportunities, being a contributor to the nonprofit organization Youth Civic Network. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, spending time with family or friends, and writing. Inspiration for her work derives from personal experiences, societal issues, or fantasy worlds. 


Jackson Baron

Jackson Baron is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative and an incoming senior at Glastonbury High School. He has received a Gold Key from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and a Book Award from the Wells Turner Memorial Library. In addition, Jackson participated in an intensive, two-week writing program hosted at Lewis and Clark College in Oregon. He enjoys reading, writing, theater, hiking, and rowing. 


Samantha Beaudry

Samantha Beaudry is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at the Mark Twain House and a rising senior at Rockville High School. She is a member of the Foreign Language Honor Society and a Connecticut Student Writer Silver Key winner. She employs vivid imagery to paint a picture in her prose pieces and loves experimenting with different poetry forms.  


Mochi Clemons

Mochi Clemons is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative and a rising senior at Rockville High School. He participates in Rockville High School musical productions, the Rockville Ram Band, and the color guard. He loves spoken word poetry that prompts the reader to reflect on issues of social justice. 

 


Flourish Iweoise

Flourish Iweoise is a rising sophomore at University High School of Science and Engineering.  She is an apprentice of the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at The Mark Twain House, where she continues to develop her poetry skills. She enjoys playing guitar and analyzing lyrics to her favorite songs. She has a heart for photography and is trying to start a photography club at her school. 


Amelie Lewis

Amelie Lewis is a rising freshman at Glastonbury High School and is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. Amelie has loved writing since she was six, and she enjoys creating poetry and flash fiction pieces. Amelie’s work focuses on chronic illnesses that she deals with on a daily basis. In her free time, Amelie plays softball for the CT Charmers. 


Seven McCauley

Seven McCauley is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. She’s a rising senior at the Academy of Science and Innovation, where she’s an active member of the National Honor Society. She’s an aspiring poet and novelist who loves to write about fantasy and fiction. In her free time, you can find her writing, drawing, video editing, or analyzing her favorite shows and movies. 


Disha Rajasekar

Disha Rajasekar is a second-year apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at The Mark Twain House and Museum. She is also an incoming freshman at the University of Connecticut, where she intends to major in economics. She has received honorable mentions and a silver key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, along with both gold and silver awards in the Connecticut Student Writer’s Competition. Her writing has also been published in Connecticut Student Writers and The Rumen. 


Caius Santé Rue

Caius Santé Rue is an apprentice at Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. A sophomore at West Hartford’s Hall High School and aspiring storyteller, Caius strives to be an energetic and creative personality. In his writing, his love of anthropology, anti-colonialism, and psychology shines through. His goal is to explore the effects of authority on humans’ mental state. Aside from writing, his other interests are nature and folklore. 


Elena Sadeghi

Elena Sadeghi is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. It is a member of its local FFA chapter, has won 3rd division at the CT State Agriscience Fair, and participated in prepared public speaking at the district and state level. Elena volunteers at the Barnes Nature Center and works with the reptiles and birds there. When it is not writing, you can find it drawing, painting, reading, or out in nature. 


Izzy Spencer

Izzy Spencer is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative at The Mark Twain House & Museum. She helped run the art club at Glastonbury High School during her junior and senior years. She enjoys many types of writing, but she is especially focused on poetry. Izzy loves to experiment with form and explore topics about nature and astronomy in her work.   


Izzy Wilbon

Izzy Wilbon is an apprentice at the Nook Farm Writers Collaborative. She is a rising senior at Rockville High School where she is the stage manager for the school plays and musicals as well as the drum major for the marching band. She is also a member of her school’s jazz and concert bands as well as a participant in her school’s NHS and BSU organizations. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing poetry and playing her instrument.
