Blackout

Blackout poetry is a form of creative expression in which an existing text, such as a page from a book, magazine, or newspaper, is used to create a new poem. The poet selectively covers or “blacks out” certain words or phrases with markers, pens, or paint, leaving behind the remaining words to form the lines of the poem. The process involves finding meaning and poetic beauty within the constraints of the existing text and can lead to unique and thought-provoking pieces of art.
